"We will attack by land, air and sea"

Audio Reading Time:

Everyone is complicit in this terrible, never ending Middle Eastern conflict? Hamas needs its? Netanyahu has sworn revenge. Will it be fire and fury? Or will the priority be to rescue the kidnapped Israelis?

As of 18h at Sunday 15 October, British Home Secretary Suella Braverman has said that the [British] police are launching a crackdown on anyone in London mocking the death of Jews.

Simultaneously, at a large rally in London's Parliament Square, there is a huge outpouring of grief and mourning hundreds of deaths of Jewish victims of Hamas.

Hamas is a designated terrorist movement and therefore membership is illegal here - but supporters are plentiful

But there have been thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators in London - and in other cities this weekend too - Hamas is a designated terrorist movement and therefore membership is illegal here - but supporters are plentiful and flares have been fired in the red green and black colours? of the Palestinians.

The Pro-Hamas contingent was reported to be less populous but was a solid presence.

It is currently the season of UK Party Political conferences. The majority of politicians - generally with the exception of? left wing proselyters supporting the Israelis, although there is a swathe of antisemitism running through British society, which is distasteful.

There have been reports of fear among young people in British schools and on campuses - students are concerned that? wearing a Star of David could make Israelis overseas become a target of persecution.

Netanyahu has not yet told the world the details of his apocalyptic revenge scheme

Ehud Barak - former Prime Minister of Israel, commented that the Hamas invasion was the most severe blow since Israel?s creation.?He also said that Benjamin Netanyahu 'shouldn't run Israel in the long run'.

Given that as I type, Netanyahu has not yet told the world the details of his apocalyptic revenge scheme, it really seems inappropriate to second guess him.

Could this be a 'war of no choice' or, as David Petraeus, US Forces Commander during the Gulf War, described it, 'it may well be Israel's Iraq?' When, as a journalist wrote last week, 'as last week's events proved, Jews need a homeland'.

I think we all need a homeland.
